The Department of Labor recently announced a new final rule updating the definition of “joint employer” under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Following suit, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) clarified its definition of “joint employer” as well. The rules go into effect March 16, 2020, and April 27, 2020, respectively. This webinar will highlight what employers — including staffing agencies, franchisors, franchisees and other contractors — should understand about joint employment under the new rules.
